National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) was established in 1994 as an autonomous and independent National accreditation agency of the University Grants Commission (UGC) with its Head Quarter in Bengaluru. NAAC ensures the quality assurance of the functioning of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) which is an integral part. Its mandate is to promote excellence by developing a comprehensive framework for regular evaluation and accreditation of universities and colleges across the nation. The NAAC assessments and accreditation process focus on several key criteria, including curricular aspects, teaching-learning processes, research and innovation, infrastructure and facilities, student support services, governance, institutional management and values and best practices done by the institute along with academic responsibilities.
